The sound quality of this record is bass heavy, clear when it needs to be, noisy when it needs to be and sounds really good.

Deathconsciousness feels more fresh and engaging with every listen and has held up as a remarkable piece of art. Now, longtime HANL collaborator The Flenser will reissue Deathconsciousness on the long-requested CD format, with a deluxe packaging option, including the lengthy accompanying zine and housed in a heavy box. The corresponding album is rhythmic, primal and expansive, and is a gloomy-post-punk masterpiece—a mediation on death, loss and existence. It is perhaps a fanbase as dark and mysterious as the Antiochean’s, the album itself revolves around. The opening track, “A Quick One Before the Eternal Worm Devours Connecticut,” is a seven-minute instrumental of acoustics swimming within dreamy synthesizers. it is more worth your money and time to wait for the represses unless you are that dedicated to a specific older variant. It comes with mo fi anti-static sleeves, a nice glossy cover, and very cool gatefold with facts about the recording of the album, and a fascinating booklet that comes with the record. Everyone spends some time on the cross, I just want to make sure it's not a total loss, so maybe I'll get tanned and lose some weight while I wait.Have a Nice Life released their debut double-album Deathconsciousness in 2008 to a whimper and critical non-interest; six years later, the band followed it up with 2014’s stunner The Unnatural World. As for the sound of it, it sounds perfect and IMHO much better than the digital version I was listening so far. Now, longtime Have a Nice Life collaborator The Flenser reissues Deathconsciousness on colored vinyl with deluxe packaging. In 2008, Have A Nice Life released their now cult classic Deathconsciousness LP to a whimper and critical non-interest.

Everyone spends some time on the cross, I just want to make sure it's not a total loss, so, deny me three times, or hurry up and fucking decide. Seamlessly blending shoegaze, post punk, new wave, industrial and noise with unparalleled depth and weight, the album was originally released by Enemies List Home Recordings founded by HANL members Dan and Tim.Seamlessly blending shoegaze, post punk, new wave, industrial and noise with unparalleled depth and weight, the album was originally released by Enemies List Home Recordings founded by HANL members Dan Barrett and Tim Macuga. The humorlessly titled, “Waiting for Black Metal Records to Come in the Mail,” is the bridging point between discs, with the briskly-paced post-punk being drowned out by distortion and synthesizer by its end. Now The Flenser is honored to rerelease Deathconsciousness a gorgeous and disarming contribution to the modern lexicon for a larger audience.
